The mass media at it again

By now I’m sure all my readers know about my dislike of the media, especially in the USA, but increasingly in Canada too.
This morning, CBC New World, a national cable news network, is spending 5 minutes our of every half-hour on that little insignificant and dumb brat called Britney Spears.
Meanwhile, on top of all the serious issues in the world, there is now an outbreak of bird flu in India, Thailand, and Indonesia, and CBCNW hasn’t even mentioned it once. They also haven’t mentioned what I think is a serious issue of national interest, the fact that Environment Canada scientists are now being censored by the Harper government.
Clearly, the mass media have their priorities all screwed-up.
