Harper kissing Bush’s butt again.

Our Conservative Government led by mini-dictator Stephen Harper is once again getting on its knees and kissing Bush’s butt.

A government published list was correctly identifying the USA as a country where one can get arrested without charge and then tortured. The US Government cried foul and the US ambassador called this listing “absurd”.

If the US Government doesn’t want to be listed as a country that supports torture and disregards international law and human rights there is a very simple remedy for that: stop doing it!

The listing was correct, and the Harper Government bowing down and apologizing for it is a demonstration of cowardice, a tacit approval, and a clear act of ass-kissing. This is another blatant example of Harper’s admiration and support for the big bully to the south of us.

I can’t wait for this disastrous idiot of ours to be pushed out of office; I find his behaviour and international policies totally repugnant. Thankfully, he will never be able to do as much damage as his American role-model.

“I can’t wait for this disasterous idiot of ours to be pushed out of office.”

That pretty much sums up my sentiments about George W. Bush, the only downside being the odds are extremely in favor of U.S. ending up with worse.
The thing I like most about Canada is they don’t go around the world sticking their nose in everyone’s business for altruistic excuses…A habit the USA could stand to learn.

BTW, where’s that global warming post you were talking about?
You’ve a proven track record of NOT skimping on facts. so I’m looking forward to an education.
A coworker in my department tells me there’s no small body of research on the topic, but all I’ve come up with on my own searches, is the UN Commission on Climate Change, whose basic conclusion was they weren’t certain we could do anything about it.

To clarify, my real objections to global warming are not to the research or science, but to that for which it could be used to inflict on society.

Galt:”A habit the USA could stand to learn.”

That is mostly because we are a secular nation with complete separation of church and state. Unlike the USA, we don’t have the delusion that we are God’s favourite children, and therefore we don’t go around the world trying to teach people how to live, and we also don’t overthrow governments for personal interests.

Galt:”where’s that global warming post you were talking about?”

    Don’t worry, it’s coming, I’m a busy guy.

In the meantime, try this excellent site if you want to be educated: RealClimate.org. This is real science, by real climate scientists.

    or read my own TragicPlanet.org

So if I understand your logic, you agree that we are in a train heading for a concrete wall, but you refuse to try and stop the train because you’re afraid someone might profit from it? What about the fact that there are people profiting from fuelling the train, who don’t care one iota about what happens when the train hits the wall? I think you’ve been brainwashed by the industry-sponsored politicians and deniers who spread tons of disinformation on Climate Change.
