Dental Implant

I had a dental implant surgically installed yesterday to replace a tooth I lost a long time ago.
This is a follow up to my long orthodontic treatment that just ended before Christmas. Yes I finally had the braces removed after 4 years and 3 months! What a great feeling that was.
But then I needed to fill that gap otherwise my teeth would migrate into it, hence the implant. I was actually surprised by how easy and relatively painless the procedure was, less than an hour! Now I have to wait two months for the metallic stud to merge into the bone before they can actually put a tooth on it.
