Thinking Blogger Awards

There is a new “meme” going around the blogosphere called the “Thinking Blogger Awards”. This meme requires that when someone gets tagged, they must tag five more “Thinking Bloggers” in turn. My friend Sieg over at The Atavist got tagged, and then I got the honour of making his list! So here is my own list of my top five “Thinking Bloggers”, in alphabetical order:

  1. Debunking Christianity: The contributors at Debunking Christianity are former Christians who write intelligent articles on why Christianity no longer makes sense to them and why the fundamentalists need to be stopped.
  2. DeSmogBlog: The contributors of this blog write about climate change with an emphasis on the politics. Their goal is to debunk the global warming deniers and the few journalists and PR agencies still spreading misinformation on the subject of climate change.
  3. George Monbiot: Monbiot is a journalist at The Guardian newspaper in England and he always writes hard-hitting but very well researched commentaries on politics, war, climate change and other afflictions ailing our modern society. Not one to mince words, he is not afraid to attack anyone who deserves it, even his own newspaper.
  4. Richard Carrier: Carrier is a historian and natural philosopher who writes about science, history, morality, and religion.
  5. The Atavist: Sieg Pedde is one of the most eloquent bloggers out there and while he might blog about anything from the trivial to the profound, he always makes it an interesting and thought provoking read. (Right back at you Sieg!)

Thanks for thinking we think! Do we do five now? BTW, there’s only one guy that actually thinks on our blog, the rest of us sit around snickering, watching him think and thinking how cool it would be to able to think like him.

Thank you, Sylvain. On one of the other blogs on my blogroll, someone suggested that we all meet ‘at the Atavist’s home’ for companionship and conversation. Sounds like something to shoot for in Panama someday, eh?
