Mount Baker

I’m heading to Seattle next week and I will have the pleasure of returning to my friend Susan’s cabin at Mount Baker. There is apparently tons of snow on the mountain this year and it should make for some real good skiing!
(I took the picture above when I was there last March.)

Sylvain,
I just happened across your great shot of Mt. Baker, the snowiest mountain in western Washington, and the area where nearly all my family originally settled. I can see this mountain clearly in the distance from our home on Camano Island. It sometimes floors me that this snow-covered mountain is approximately the same elevation as Panama’s highest peak, El Baru, on the slopes of which we own a small property.
Thanks Gordo! I’m rather proud of this shot and I have a bit of an emotional attachment to that beautiful mountain. I also have a picture of Mt Rainier hanging above my fireplace at the cottage. I spent a few years in Seattle and still have many friends out there.
Nice to know you own property near Baru, nice area!
An acquaintance here on the island is an accomplished water color artist, whose works adorn galleries throughout the northwest, and include works ( many wonderful Mountains in the area) that may be of interest to you. The best part is that John is a hell of a nice guy:
