Loose Change, indeed…

Two weeks ago my favourite hard-hitting call-a-spade-a-spade take-no-prisoners journalist, George Monbiot of the British newspaper The Guardian, came out hard against the 9/11 conspiracy theorists and their cult movie Loose Change. Monbiot called them out for what they are: a bunch of talented nut-jobs who are taking attention away from the real issues and making it harder for anyone to take critics of the Bush Government seriously.

Well Monbiot and The Guardian were then flooded with angry letters and emails from fans of Loose Change. So Monbiot just replied back to them with this piece entitled Bayonetting a Scarecrow in which he tells these morons about the damage their irresponsible actions are causing.

Now, if you’ve never seen the movie Loose Change and you have 90 minutes to waste you don’t need to buy it: you can just go watch it here. It’s actually very well done and entertaining to watch, but please don’t take it seriously; view it as you would a National Lampoon’s production.

And if you have even more time to waste, you may also want to watch the Screw Loose Change movie which neatly debunks the first one.
