Taking Spanish Classes

Buenas tardes amigos. ¿Qué hay de nuevo?
I began taking Spanish classes at Ryerson University in Toronto this past week. I had missed the first two classes because I was in Panama, and I was shocked to find out that they were already conjugating verbs and making complete sentences at third lesson! I have some catching up to do, but by the end of that first 3 hour class I was already learning a lot.
Spanish is relatively easy for someone who’s a native French speaker, as the two languages have Latin roots and are very much structured the same way. I’m enjoying the challenge and looking forward to practicing my new skills when I return to Panama. It will enable me to mingle with the locals a lot better.
¡Hasta mañana!
